Neary Lagoon

Katherine and I revisited Neary Lagoon after the City had cut back some of the tule. The boardwalks over the lagoon were now all open again.

The boardwalks had been closed for about six weeks. WIth their reopening, Katherine and I were happy to be able to walk a complete circle again. We saw some old friends.

The single Wood Duck we (barely) spotted.

Female Mallard taking a bath.

And some old acquaintances…

Cute Oak Titmouse foraging on an oak.

The Townsend’s Warbler is becoming a bird that we see everywhere now that we know its name. We saw one here, in Natural Bridges, at Lighthouse Field…

Townsend’s Warbler caught the spider (who caught the fly? I don’t know why.)
Bushtit in flight.

Its not a bird but it has wings…
